TFPA is an organization made up of active and retired Firefighters, Police Officers, Rescue/EMS personnel, Emergency Dispatchers, Fire Buffs and Lay Persons that all share a common interest in fireground or fire apparatus photography. Members share their work with the subjects of the photos (usually at no cost), publish in trade publications, provide educational photo spreads (firefighter safety), publish on the internet or exchange with other fire photography clubs around the nation. We have members on the Southside, Peninsula, Richmond area and Northeastern NC.
TFPA members are also actively involved in the furtherance of the fire service mission by providing photographic services to any emergency agency upon request. TFPA members have photographed suspicious fire scenes for use in evidence collection and prosecution, special events involving the emergency services, training evolutions, mass casualty incidents, explosion scenes and a host of other subject matter.
